AutoKulmus began as a small sofrus business selling mezuzos. Our pens grew out of a practical need: the sofer writing those mezuzos needed a kulmus, and in 2021 began carving their own.
From one sofer's work to pens made by request
We have been making pens by request ever since. Over the years, feedback from our customers has helped us refine the designs, making adjustments along the way. Following those years of encouraging feedback and development, we now feel confident offering our kulmusim to a wider audience.
Rooted in sofrus
Our connection to sofrus remains at the heart of AutoKulmus. Along the way, we have developed professional relationships with sofrim and suppliers in the UK and Eretz Yisroel. Those relationships are part of our story as we continue to develop our range.
Our kulmusim today
Our fountain and dip pens use zirconia ceramic nibs. Both standard and custom kulmusim are prepared after ordering, with choices for line height and writing angle. Standard preparation lets you select from the available options; custom preparation is for individual requirements.

Alongside the pens
We also offer a growing selection of sofrus materials and equipment, including ink and klaf, while keeping our kulmusim at the centre of the range.
